ROB LOWE AND SHERYL BERKOFF — 29 YEARS

Rob Lowe skyrocketed to fame in the ’80s and is now most widely known for appearing in the television shows Parks and Recreation and The West Wing. Born Robert Hepler Lowe in Charlottesville, Virginia, to Chuck Lowe, a trial lawyer, and Barbara, a teacher, the actor’s breakout role was in Francis Ford Coppola’s The Outsiders in 1983. In the film, he starred alongside then-huge actors Emilio Estevez and Patrick Swayze. He quickly moved into prominence and established his name as a teen idol during the decade.

In later years, he ventured into writing books, including his memoir entitled Stories I Only Tell My Friends. Lowe exchanged wedding vows with makeup artist Sheryl Berkoff in 1991. The two on a blind date in the early ’80s and reconnected on the set of one of Lowe’s films. They have two sons: Matthew Edward and John Owen.
