ELTON JOHN AND DAVID FURNISH — 27 YEARS

Born Reginald Kenneth Dwight in Pinner, Middlesex, Sir Elton John learned to play piano as a child. By the early ’60s, he had formed Bluesology, a British blues group with whom he played for five years. From there, he developed a fondness for writing songs and wrote for artists like Lulu. He subsequently launched a solo career in 1970, beginning with his first hit single, Your Song. Fast forward to a few years later, Sir Elton John has become an award-winning and best-selling music legend who amassed $500 million worth of investment money.

As colorful as John’s music career is, so is his personal life. In 1993, the music icon began dating former advertising executive David Furnish. They wed in the United Kingdom in March 2014 and were blessed with two sons born via surrogacy: Zachary Jackson Levon and Elijah Joseph Daniel.
