The couple met on the set of the 1997 film I Know What You Did Last Summer. Taking things slow and steady proves to be an effective strategy in building a relationship as Prinze Jr., and Gellar started dating in 2000, three years after they met. They got married in 2002, marking the new beginning of their life as well as their career.

Things started to slow down for their acting career since then. They were able to land a few movies and projects as they became more focused on their family.
