MEL BROOKS — 94 YEARS OLD

Mel Brooks is considered a living legend in Hollywood and all of that points towards his contribution to the industry as actor, comedian, director, writer, producer, and composer. He’s also famous for making classic funny films and parodies. He surely reached a long way now compared to his early beginnings as a writer for Your Show of Shows during the 50s.

His success carried him through the top of Hollywood rankings during the 70s. Most of his movies during that decade made it to the top-ten list of highest movie earners in a couple of years within that decade. He also established good credit scores over the course of his career. He’s currently working as an executive producer in the upcoming animated film Blazing Samurai. On the evening of June 6, 2013, the American Film Institute (AFI) held the annual lifetime achievement award ceremony. The winner of this year’s Achievement Award is Hollywood’s famous “spoof king” Mel Brooks.
