CARA WILLIAMS — 95 YEARS OLD
The 95-year old Cara Williams was one of the top artists during the 50s and 60. She’s well known for playing a role in the 1958 film The Defiant Ones. Her role in the movie earned her a nomination slot for an Academy Award in the Best Supporting Actress category. Williams also appeared as Gladys Porter in the sitcom Pete and Gladys, where she got an Emmy Award nomination for Best Lead Actress in a Comedy.
In the 1970s, Williams performed less frequently. In 1971, she played a supporting role in the movie “Doctor’s Wife”. She also guest starred in three episodes of Rhoda in 1975, in the role of Mae. Her last TV appearance was in the 1977 visual series. Her last film was “One Person Jury” in 1978. She later retired from Hollywood and focused more on her real passion, home improvements. Cara Williams actually doesn’t do roof repairs but she’s more into interior designs.
