Actress, comedian, and TV host Whoopi Goldberg remains a powerhouse when it comes to the industry. To put that into perspective, her first appearance on the talk show The View drew 3.4 million viewers! Since she replaced Rose O’Donnell, the show has seen a 7% rise in total viewership. This is despite the fact that she is pretty blunt in her opinions and has stirred up controversy or two over the years.

Aside from popularity, she has also amassed quite a bit of fortune over the years. As part of her investment planning, Goldberg invests most of her money in real estate. She has quite an expansive real estate portfolio, including homes in Manhattan, Berkeley, and her primary residence in New Jersey, which she bought in 2009.
