This actor is, perhaps, best known for his role in the sitcom Family Matters. Jaleel White portrayed Steve Urkel on the show from 1989 to 1998. It’s quite interesting to know that he was only supposed to make a one-time appearance, but the role became such an instant hit that they offered him a permanent spot in the cast. As many of you might remember, Steve Urkel popularized the show’s catchphrase, “Did I do that?”. During the show’s peak, he was making $180,000 per episode and around $4 million for every season!
His career didn’t stop after the show ended, of course. White went on to receive further acting credit for productions such as Dreamgirls, Call of the Wild, and Sonic the Hedgehog. He remains active to this day in both film and TV, with his most recent appearance being on Netflix’s The Big Show Show.
