Minnie Driver famously appeared in the 1995 film adaptation of Maeve Binchy’s novel Circle of Friends as Benny, the daughter of a tailor who heads to Dublin to get her university degree. The London-born actress continued to earn more film credits through films like Good Will Hunting where she famously portrayed pre-med student Skylar who hopes to finish her medical degree in Harvard.

Driver also has a few TV credits up her belt that includes her brief stint on the NBC sitcom About a Boy in 2015 and her starring role on the ABC sitcom Speechless. She’s the mother of only one boy. In August 2001, she officially announced her engagement with actor Josh Brolin. Before that, there were two boyfriends Taylor Hawkins and Matt Damon. In October of the same year, it was announced that the relationship with her boyfriend had broken. One of the reasons for claiming to break up with her boyfriend is that her stepmother Barbra Streisand repeatedly tried to interfere with her wedding.
