TIA CARRERE

Tia Carrere was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA on January 2, 1967. She is an American actor, producer, singer, and model. She has four descent from Spain, the Philippines, China, and Hawaii. Carrere attended the Sacred Hearts Academy, a girls’ school. She dreamed of becoming a singer since she was a child. Although at the age of 17, she was eliminated in the first round of the “Star Search” show.

Tia Carrere saw her fame quickly soar high when she joined the cast of the ongoing primetime soap opera General Hospital in the role of Jade Soong. She earned TV acting credits through her performances on TV series like The A-Team and MacGyver, as well as movie acting credits through her appearance in the Wayne’s World film franchise as Wayne’s girlfriend Cassandra Wong. Carrere earned more film acting credits through her appearances in blockbuster movies like True Lies where she portrayed an art dealer working for terrorists. Now 52 years old, she had gone through two divorces and was a contestant on The Celebrity Apprentice.
