VANESSA MARCIL

Marcil was born in Indio, California, the youngest of four children. Her parents are Patricia Marcil, a herbalist and Pete Ortiz, a contractor and self-made millionaire. Her father is Mexican, and her mother is American of French and Italian descent. Vanessa attended Indio High School in Indio, California. Soon after graduating from high school, she enrolled in a college in Palm Desert, California, Desert College.

Vanessa Marcil was soap opera royalty thanks to her clean but cunning appearance. Her fame started gaining traction when she joined the cast of the soap opera General Hospital from 1992-1998 as the model Brenda Barrett. Another popular acting credit under her belt included her performance in the teen series Beverly Hills 90210 as former ice-skater Gina Kincaid. Marcil continues to appear on the small screen the same way she did back during her time appearing in soap operas. She has worked on programs like Hawaii Five-0, Lipstick Jungle, and Crossing Jordan. She is the mother to her only son Kassius Lijah.
