JULIA STILES

Julia Stiles was born in New York, USA in 1981. Formerly known as Julia O’Hara Stiles, she has Irish, Italian and British descent. The eldest of the three children in the family. Her father is an elementary school teacher, and her mother is an artist. She learned modern dance when she was young and began her acting career at only 11 years old, appearing in the kids show Ghostwriter as the Hurston Middle School newspaper’s editor-in-chief Erica Dansby who knew more about computer hacking for her age than anyone else ever could through one session of online classes.

Since then, her enthusiasm for performance has increased day by day. After starring in the teen flick 10 Things I Hate About You, Stiles became a student at Columbia University where she got her degree in English. Upon graduation, the Columbia alumnus continued to act in films like The Prince and Me, The Omen, The Bourne Ultimatum, Silver Linings Playbook, and Out of the Dark.
