BRANDY

Brandy was born in Mississippi, USA on February 11, 1979. Although ranked among the best female singers of R&B in the 90s, Brandy is not as sexy and violent as most of her peers. Her acting career in the entertainment industry started very early-as early as when she was 15 years old, she was nominated for the Young Movie Star Award for her successful portrayal of Debesha, a schoolgirl in the ABC TV sitcom Thea. Brandy proved herself a key investment in the industry during the ‘90s through her gifts in singing, writing songs, and acting.

Her self-titled album topped the Billboard hit charts upon its release in 1994. The rising star earned acting credits for her work on the sitcom Moesha as the show’s titular protagonist. Brandy’s portfolio also includes Broadway credits earned from her debut Broadway appearance on the stage musical Chicago in the starring role of Roxie Hart. For this performance, the R&B artist got to join the show’s country-wide tour particularly at the Los Angeles and the Washington, D.C. legs of the tour.
