STACEY DASH

Stacey Dash was born in the Bronx, New York City, and is of Bajan, African American and Mexican descent. Dash’s stepfather Cecil Holmes and younger brother Darien Dash are the founders of DME Interactive, the first Internet trading company led by African Americans. Her first cousin was Damon Dash, the former CEO and co-founder of Roc-A-Fella Records. Dash graduated from Paramus High School in 1985. Dash earned her most popular acting credit on the teen flick Clueless for portraying the role of Cher Horowitz’s similarly stylish best friend Dionne Davenport.

For someone taking on the role of a high school student, no one could have guessed that she was in her twenties at the time. Dash has since broadened her acting portfolio with a few unique credits from films like the unconventional comic disaster made-for-TV movie Sharknado: The 4th Awakens where she portrayed Chicago Mayor Sandra Mansfield. The film may have been abysmal to a certain degree, but her work has not stopped there.
