LARA FLYNN BOYLE

Boyle was born in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of a shop assistant and manager Sally Flynn and Michael L. Boyle. She is named after the character in Boris Pasternak’s novel “Doctor Zhivago”. Her father left when she was six, and she and her mother moved into a smaller package. Around this time, she was diagnosed as deaf. She grew up in Chicago, Illinois and Wisconsin, and graduated from the Art Institute of Chicago.

Lara Flynn Boyle’s most popular acting credit may have resulted from her work on the cult show Twin Peaks as Laura Palmer’s best friend Donna Hayward, but the Iowa-born actress had also appeared in the legal series The Practice as assistant district attorney Helen Gamble. Lately she had been making headlines for the many botched surgeries that we can only hope are all covered by insurance. She has not been active in the entertainment industry for some time now and barely appears in public either, but we refuse to let go of the hope that she can still make her comeback any day now!
