Shawn Kemp — Businessman

The former Seattle Supersonics superstar, Shawn Kemp, was a basketball phenom during his prime. He was widely regarded as one of the top players not only in the NBA but in the history of the game. Because of the unbelievable things he was able to do on the court, basketball enthusiasts referred to him as the ‘Reign Man.’

Everything seemed to be going his way until he got involved in a couple of controversies that derailed his career. Many believe that he could have been bigger than he was if he hadn’t experienced these controversies. After the dust settled, he finished his playing career as a six-time NBA All-Star. Good thing his finances still kept going after he retired, and a huge part of this was because of the various investments he’s made. His more recent venture was a cannabis dispensary in Seattle.
