Adrian Dantley — Coach

Adrian Dantley was one of the top NBA players of his time and it might be hard to imagine just how efficient he was back in his prime since it was so long ago. In fact, he finished ninth on the league’s all-time scoring list after his retirement and he did it by playing only 15 seasons in the NBA. He was even part of the 2008 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame class.

After retiring from the game, his passion for basketball continued. Even to this day, he’s still engaged in the game as a coach and as a referee for various high schools and recreational leagues in the DC area. We have to give him credit for the impact and contribution he gave to the game of basketball. Indeed, basketball has undergone a few rule changes over the years because of players like Dantley.
