MICHAEL SCHOEFFLING – BUSINESSMAN AND WOODWORKER

Michael schoeffling was one of the most promising actors of the 80s. Few people know that he was once a wrestler and won championships in various domestic and international competitions. However, he finally rose to prominence thanks to his role as Jake Ryan in Sixteen Candles. After that, he made eight films one after another which also made him widely acclaimed, including Vision Quest and Mermaids.

However, after a few years, he decided that acting alone can’t support his growing family’s needs, and he opted for establishing a business so he could get a stable source of income even if he didn’t have any acting projects. His small business grew, and it was a wise investment on his part to start his very own handcrafted furniture merchandise and his personal woodworking shop. He left Hollywood in 1991 and focused all of his attention on his new venture.
