Kal Penn – Government Employee

Everyone remembers Kal Penn’s credit role as “Kumar” in the 2004 film Harold and Kumar Go To The White Castle. Five years later, Penn once again reprised his role in the 2009 sequel Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay. Besides his portrayal of “Kumar,” Kal Penn also appeared in other film and TV projects. Some of Penn’s most notable performances came in projects like House, Law & Order, and many more.

Despite being remembered for his goofy performance as “Kumar” in the Harold and Kumar franchise, Penn landed a serious White House position. Penn started working for the American government in 2009, where he became the Associate Director in the Office of Public Engagement in the White House. You could say that Penn’s off-the-screen responsibilities aren’t a joke! Nonetheless, Penn is perfectly qualified for the job as he has numerous academic accolades and prior related ventures.
