Daniel Day-Lewis is an American actor who’s best known for his method acting. Daniel reportedly goes through intense and extraordinary preparations for his credit roles. According to the New York Times, he once spent a month in the woods living with experts to learn more about the lives and habits of American Indians. Without a doubt, he’s an extremely dedicated actor who wants to portray a character as accurate and to the best of his abilities.
Interestingly, it was because of his role preparation when he found a side job as an apprentice to a renowned Italian cobbler. Daniel worked as an apprentice for around eight months, and he rarely spoke about his experience to the media. Although in one interview, he did shed light on his apprenticeship, saying that it was for the work that he does as an actor above anything else. If we ever see Daniel start his own line of customized shoes, we’ll certainly know how his interest in cobbling started!
