LAILA ALI
Laila Ali is the daughter of the legendary boxer, Muhammad Ali who is the eighth of her father’s nine children. Inspired by her father, she pursued a career in boxing. When she was interviewed by Diane Sawyer in Good Morning America, she first announced her decision to become a professional boxer. Her late father even watched some of her matches. She was actively competing from 1999 to 2007. In her career, she won WBC, WIBA, IWBF, IBA female super middleweight titles, and the IWBF light heavyweight title.
In 2012, Laila Ali accepted the AOCA Awakening Outstanding Contribution Award. After retirement, she became a TV personality and takes credit for appearing on shows such as Real Husbands of Hollywood and George Lopez. She started TV hosting with Ethan Zohn and Jenna Morasca on the show Everyday Help. She’s really made a name for herself and now has a $10-million net worth to her name.
